Mental Health Month – Tom Boyd

This is the second EDM sent by PickStar to clients regarding Mental Health Month (which is celebrated in October each year). This EDM was sent to remind clients of the month itself, as well as offer them the option to book talent for an event, whether that be virtual or in-person. It was decided that we would send one version to all clients, as Tom was eager to take on as many virtual bookings as possible and because of Covid-19 restrictions.

Mental Health Month

This EDM marked the first of the Mental Health Month pair of EDM’s sent to clients throughout Australia. For this EDM we chose to introduce Mental Health Month and show clients why (especially in the year of 2020) it is important to celebrate the month, and also how PickStar can help them do so.

Client reviews were added into the EDM to show real world experiences with PickStar’s product. We were specific in the reviews we chose so that they sounded at least somewhat relevant to Mental Health Month, or if not were very general.

Movember – Joel Thompson

This EDM was sent about a week before the start of the annual Movember movement to remind clients that in conjunction with joining the movement, they could also host a Mo-Ment and that PickStar allows them to book a star athlete to join them in celebrating this Mo-Ment.

We chose to feature NRL star Joel Thompson in this EDM because as can be seen within the copy, he is relevant to the cause and movement, and in the NRL dominated Eastern states he is one of PickStar’s most requested talent.

International Day of People with Disability

This EDM was sent to all clients to inform them of the upcoming International Day of People With Disability (IDPwD). As well as inform clients about IDPwD, the aim of the EDM was to tell the story about the day and also offer clients some talent suggestions for any bookings planned.

NAIDOC Week

Below are emails regarding the upcoming NAIDOC Week. NAIDOC Week represents an opportunity for PickStar because many organisations, associations, councils, schools and communities host NAIDOC Week events, some with guest appearances and speakers.

The emails went out in three stages, the first to introduce NAIDOC Week, the second to remind clients about NAIDOC Week, and the third to push them for a last minute booking. The first email was split up into state segments so that we could be more specific with talent recommendations, and also alter the copy to push towards either in person or virtual bookings (due to Covid-19 restrictions).
